MetAlert is a pioneer in wearable GPS tracking, best known for GunAlert, a motion-sensitive gun lock with integrated GPS theft recovery technology, and GPS SmartSole, a wearable device built into an orthotic insole for discreetly tracking individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, and autism. Both products are built around the same premise: when a firearm moves without authorization, or a person goes missing, the alert has to reach the right person immediately.

MetAlert already ships SmartSole to customers in more than 35 countries, and plans the same global rollout for GunAlert. That meant managing a different connectivity provider in nearly every region, a level of complexity that works against the entire point of a lifesaving device: a tracking alert delayed by a carrier gap in one country isn't just an inconvenience, it can be the difference between a safe recovery and a tragedy. MetAlert needed one connectivity partner capable of the same security and reliability everywhere its devices ended up, not a patchwork of local carrier deals.

The Results
GPS SmartSole is now used in more than 35 countries, tracking and protecting individuals at risk of wandering. With TEAL managing connectivity across thousands of networks under one contract, MetAlert no longer negotiates or maintains separate carrier relationships country by country, freeing the company to focus on expanding GunAlert and SmartSole into new markets rather than managing infrastructure.
